My guess is BV.: A fishy smell or an ammonia smell is often associated with bacterial vaginosis (gardnerella). It's caused by an overgrowth of bacteria, and can be treated by oral antibiotics, or a cream or gel antibiotic inserted in the vagina. It may be normal: If you are a young woman and you have never had sex (including oral sex),  and have absolutely no other symptoms of an infection or gynecologic problem  (itching, abnormal odor, irritation, sores, pains in your lower abdomen, abnormal bleeding), it may just be the normal discharge caused by     hormones.  If you are age 21 or older, it is time to have a gynecologic exam, even if you don't have sex.

If he did not ejaculate inside then you may be seeing a combination of preejaculatory fluid combined with your own vaginal secretions.
