i had a gastroscopy yesterday. now i have  left ear pain when i swallow or turn my neck. no other symptoms. should i worry?

Not necessarily: The symptoms you mention likely relate to your Eustachian tube.This tube permits air to enter the middle ear and mucous to drain into the throat from that area.Sometimes the tube swells with irritation or a cold.I would call your regular doc and discuss your symptoms.

dizziness/vertigo (feels like floor is moving) at random times. no ear pain, but have neck tension. anything else that can cause this? should i worry?

Be seen: Many things can cause dizziness and if there is movement, likely middle ear disease or vertigo. Be checked and treated. All the best.

Enlarged lymph: nodes are almost always caused by an infection.  It is probably not related to shoulder pain.  Ear pain might be occult infection.  However, if your doctor says it is nothing, most likely it is just that.  If it persists or worsens, consult your doctor again.

Throat infection?: Sounds like it could be a throat/tonsil infection. May need to get on some antibiotics. Not typical for sinus infection.

Visit your physician: Your condition can be caused by a simple bacterial or viral infection , upper respiratory condition, teeth or gum problems  or some other cause. Their is no way around visiting your physician. Do not take any chances.

Cold: Those are all common symptoms of a cold that is usually caused by a virus.  The only otc medication in studies to help with the common cold has been zinc lozenges if taken early enough.  Other people report good sucess with high doses of vitamin c, but that has not been substantiated in studies.

You have time: If this is really strep you have 9-10 days from the beginning of symptoms to start the antibiotics that will prevent rheumatic fever. If it is not really strep, antibiotics wouldn't help anyway.There is no "natural" treatment that removes the risk of heart/brain or kidney damage from strep.

Resolution of Image: If the inflammation is superficial, involving the mucosa for example, you may feel terrible, but imaging will not show much. This is because the spatial resolution, while very good, is not that good for very thin/small structures. The reason to get imaging is to exclude the presence of complications, say an abscess.

i take an auto immune suppressant (embrel) i have been having severe throat and ear pain. how long should i wait before seeing a doctor?
