Suboxone: This really depends on the anesthesiologist and the surgeon. Personally I do not stop the suboxone and I add an additional analgesic ( I like Nucynta (tapentadol) IR) to assist with post-op pain. TENS can also be used as well as Exparel injected around the incisions.

i had an ankle ligament repair surgery 6 weeks ago. i went back to work 2 weeks ago. i am now experiencing excruciating pain when walking. the pain is more than i felt the previous week. i take pain medication but it's not helping. ?

Rehabilitation first: Without knowing your history and without seeing x-rays I will say this      try and rehabilitate your ankle with full physical therapy utilizing contrast baths range of motion and strengthening exercises not until that has been accomplished can you reassess the success or failure of the surgery

Any surgery will have some degree of pain but it certainly can be managed with current pharmacy treatments.

Follow guidelines: Make sure you are taking your pain medications as directed, and resting, elevating and icing the ankle as directed.  Only be on your foot as much as your doctor instructed.  Some postoperative discomfort is normal and expected for a period of time. If the pain is more than expected, or worsening, contact your surgeon immediately.

i have been having stomach pains in my lower abdomen a day after i had some pain medication from my ankle surgery. i think it might be withdrawals symptoms but i just noticed my temperature increasing.

Doubtful withdrawal.: Without knowing  how long you took the meds, cannot determine withdrawal risk. Fever is not common in withdrawal, so I suspect you are having a different problem. Discuss this with the doc who,provided these medications for you. Good luck

Access to gym?: Most large gyms have machines that isolate (/focus on) the quads and biceps femoris and would not impact your ankle limitation.

Ankle: Your are 3 months post op and pain and swelling should be resolved. I would double check with your orthopedic surgeon.
