when i shave the area under my chin and neck have always gotten red. how can i make it stop and go away?

Shaving irritation: Depends.  If you are using a regular shaving blade, perhaps try a sensitive skin one.  Or try using electric shaver most of the time and when using regular shaving blade, do not shave against the grain to try to get a cleaner shave, as this can cause irritation.  Also you may consider a beard to give your skin a rest from shaving.

i have an itchy red swollen area under the chin, on the jawline and on my neck. the doctor gave prednisone. won't this make it hard for me to heal? if this is yeast, couldprednisone be dangerous?

Redness: Prednisone can make yeast infection worse sometimes but not dangerous. He might be thinking allergic reaction. You could try the Prednisone and see whethere the redness  is getting better. Follow up with  your doctor.

Inflamed lymphnodes: Inflamed lymph glands in your neck and chin area are probably the culprit causing pain. What happened is probably like this. You had a viral upper respiratory infection such as cold or flu and that effected the eustachian tubes causing a dysfunction of it and this dysfunction caused bacteria getting trapped and bacterial growth in your middle ear and giving you a middle ear infection and ear pain.

Likely from enlarged: Lymph node due to your sorethroat but if it gets worse or bigger go see your dr.

Dental source likely: Your symptoms sound like a common "toothache".  When the pulp("nerve") of a lower tooth abscesses, the pain commonly radiates to the ear, etc. Have the area xrayed at your dentist.

Recommend: gargling with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). Get strep test/culture if very sore. Congestion – saline nose drops or netti pot. For anti-inflammatory effect &amp; mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.  Hydrate- lots of water/clear broth/ add honey &amp; a small amt. of lemon juice to Chamomile tea. Fever/ pain – acetaminophen / NSAID’s  Rest!!

i had done ultrasound of neck with eczema under the chin. i did the ultrasound after 5 mins of another person with possible testis us. hiv risk? prep?

Unlikely: I would not expect any blood exchange with this type of Rx. However i have never heard of ultrasound being a Rx option for eczema.

can a symptom of a panic attack include some minor chest pain and some pain under the chin and upper neck? have already had heart tests with cardiologist and heart was fine?

Yes: A panic attack can mimic the pain of a heart attack.

is it normal to have a pea sized immovable lymph node under the chin in the neck? i have multiple other nodes risen throughout my body and my doctor felt them all, accept the one i'm my chin. i have mono. but could this lump still mean something?

: It is possible that it may be part of your mono. On your next visit to your MD make her/him feel it if it is still there.
