Stimulation: Likely stimulating the vestibular (balance) organ. If you get dizziness at other times. see MD.

Accepted Answer

Not likely.: Most headaches are not caused by brain tumors.  However, frequent, recurrent or constant headache does require evaluation, especially if the symptoms are increasing in severity or interfere with normal functioning.  Discuss this with your doctor if you are concerned.

what can the problem be when you get woozy in your car and you have to shake your head to concentrate?

Accepted Answer

Fatigue?: Most commonly that is a symptom of drivers fatigue.  Narcolepsy & other dyssomnias should also be considered. Seizures or hypoglycemia are less likely. See your doctor for a thorough evaluation.

See your doctor: With these symptoms, its best to see your doctor.  He/she can listen to you and do an examination to find out whats going on.

Many things: Many things can cause this such as autonomic neuropathy, POTS, etc.  These are never easy cases.  Best to be evaluated by a Cardiologist with experience in these subjects.

As above : U could be having orthostatic hypotension , see your PCP for evaluation  and work up.

Shaken or shake self: Probably almost impossible if you shake your own head. Very vigorous shaking, if shaken as an abult. Very little shaking can cause significant brain damage to a baby, toddler or person with an unknown or known brain aneurism or blood vessel abnormality.

He is rooting!: babies are capable of finding the nipple once the check touches a surface

Normal Reflex Action: It is most likely a normal reflex action for you - similar to how dogs will shake their bodies to dry off. To be more scientific about it, our ears help control our balance and anything abnormal (water) in the canal can cause us to have a variety of unusual reactions. To be certain, mention it to your md on your next routine appointment but if it's been more than a year, it is time for a check up.

Feeling shaky: after a meal can occur with reactive hypoglycemia. I 3 hour glucose tolerance test should be able to rule this in or out. If this test does not disclose the underlying problem you need to expand the work up (thyroid disorders, gluten sensitivity, other food allergies etc)
