Trouble breathing: Throat/chest tightness (with or without wheezing) can be caused by many things: infection (chest cold, bronchitis, pneumonia), asthma, allergy (food, medication, environment), irritation (smoke, pollution, climate change), anxiety, decreased oxygen (anemia, lung problems, high altitude) or even heart problems. If it persists or gets worse, get checked out by your primary care doc.

Not related: It's unlikely for gastritis to cause the symptoms that you described. If you have reflux symptom and diagnosis of asthma, then it may cause wheezing and SOB. Ask your doctor for further testing.

Possible stridor..: If there is a high-pitched sound when you inhale, this could be stridor which is caused by a narrowing of the upper airway. You need to see a doctor asap; if you are short of breath, go to the er. If this is stridor, it could lead to upper airway obstruction, which can be life-threatening. Get to a doctor today for evaluation and treatment!

Inhaler is best: Quick-relief medication like albuterol is preferred way to get relief from asthma symptoms.  It helps to stay calm, relax, remove yourself from asthma triggers (if present)  it's controversial, but yoga can help with breathing relaxation.
