are frosted mini wheats and raisin bran healthy cold cereals i know oatmeal is best but it seems to cause digestion problems with my system?

Both are OK: Many people do not tolerate oatmeal due to the excessive gas forming properties that the psyllium in it has.

if i tested positive to bran, gluten and wheat on the comprehensive food panel test, does that mean that i need to avoid rice, wheat and oat bran?

High Fiber Diet : Will most likely not encounter any problems. Make sure your bowel movements are regularl & normal. Try to eat a varied diet so your body is exposed to all sorts of vitamins, minerals, proteins & other important nutrients. A high fiber diet may lead to colonic hypertrophy which is associated with sigmoid volvulus. This is rare & usually not seen with with the type of fibers mentioned in question.

i take oats with nuts & multi grain porridge for 2 out of 4 meals.can i add these for more nutrition- sprouted flax & chia seeds,oat bran,wheat germ?

Keep it up: The options you suggest are healthy ones.  You should eat according to your taste with an emphasis on vegetables, fruits, whole grains and a healthy source of lean protein.  The key is to limit processed foods and sugar as much as possible.  You are making healthy choices.  Keep it up.

i consume a lot of wheat bran due to digestive issues. i read that it contains phytates that hinder absorption of some nutrients. is it safe to continue eating soaked wheat bran daily or am i causing potential anemia? i take multivitamins.

Bran: Anything in excess is bad. Try to balance your meals and condition.  You can also keep a food diary and evaluate your symptoms. This may help you titrate how much you can eat.

should i eat wheat and oat bran if i have iron-deficiency anemia?

Accepted Answer

Not for  anemia: Bleeding from an ulcer or GI malignancy  needs to be excluded.  Iron deficiency in a  male might indicated some kind of malabsorption . If  due to celiac disease  wheat and oat bran need to be excluded.  Another possibility is poor stomach acid from taking acid blocker medications. Smokers can develop iron deficiency anemia from exposure to cadmium.  Find the cause  of the iron deficiency.

i have a black dot in the corner of my right eye it's on my tear dust (or how ever it's spelled) i do have problems with my eyes and do wheat glasses?
