,Possibilities...: It is possible to have differences in EKGs due to a difference in lead placement. If you want to know how your heart is functioning, an echocardiogram could be done. It is a non-invasive test, basically an unltrasound of your heart. If that is normal, then the chances are good that you did not have a heart attack. Were cardiac enzymes checked in the ER? That is another test to rule out heart attac

Probably not, esp if: They let u go directly home from the ER. Y the difference in the 2 EGGs? Depends where they put the chest leads. If one set of leads was placed a little higher on the chest than the other set, one ecg may look like an (old) ant infarction, and the other will appear normal. y u were in theI er is an issue that should be evaluated further, if no definite answers were determined there. : Such ekg changes are common and non specific. What is needed is follow up in the office with your primary care doc or cardiologist with access to your medical records. An exam, good history and careful review of existing records will help in clarifying/ reconciling such findings.

Repeat EKG: Computer interpretation is often wrong, not surprisingly. If no chest pain and cardiac enzymes are normal-likely, it's not a heart attack. There are several other causes of ST segment elevation besides a heart attack. I would repeat EKG and have it interpret from your cardiologist.  Good luck.
