Melatonin &: Melatonin is a good choice.  Bendryl meds, and other otc aids.  Your doctor may precribe clonzepam for brief period.  Avoid alprazolam.

i have stage 4 emphasema and nonischemic cardiomyopathy. i am worn out all the time even after a good niter sleep.  is this from copd? all labs r good

Most likely: Work of breathing, i.e., the energy spent to breath in people with COPD is high. On top of this, your cardiomyopathy does not help to push blood through and oxygenize then sensed by your body to even try harder. You may just need a medicine to decrease the sensation of dyspnea and you may feel better. Talk to your lung specialist.

why does my lower back on my left side hurt so bad? i didnt fall and dont have a fever. i do have hip implants, is it possible one is getting worn out? i had them done about 11 yrs ago, both sides.i sleep on my back, did i move the wrong way at night?

: Unconsciously favoring one side while walking/moving,  which may start with mild discomfort, especially after hip surgery at age "49" ( 60 minus 11 years), may suggest need for a  re-exam with x-rays or MRI to evaluate present conditions of both sides.

Mand advancement dev: Since your sleep apnoea is mild and you cannot tolerate  cpap, you could consult your doctor about referring you for a mandibular advancement device , which sometims es helps with mild sleep apnoea. 
With regards to CPAP, you could try different mask types such as nasal pillows etc. to improve tolerance

Most sleeper meds: have a hangover, with Trazodone being one of the worst.   You describe morning side effects that are well-known from SSRI's and SSNRI's.   Are you taking antipsychotic meds?   These also have side effects.   Who prescribes these?   Visit this MD and tell him/her pronto.   Recovery?   (Not drinking or using drugs?)   There are lots of things to try...

Increase serotonin: L-tryptophan &amp; 5 hydroxy tryptophan can be taken to increase serotonin  level.5HTP 2 mg/KG of body weight at bedtime.Foods rich in the above are nuts- walnuts,almond &amp;pecan.May take L-trptophan also.Consult a nutritionally oriented doctor.Diet rich in serotonin are pineapple,eggs,cheese,salmon,tofu,nuts &amp; seeds.Yoga &amp; ralxation  &amp; meditation will help.

Relax &amp; sleep.: Find a quiet place - do so. Breath in slowly; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of six then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to. Make sure your bedroom is dark &amp; cool.

Yoga: What helps me when my mind is racing and i'm trying to fall asleep is to try to picture a white light and breath deeply and slowly while mentally repeating the phrase "white light".  This is sort of like a yoga mantra and it works!

It's all depends : It all depends if you are having symptoms such as daytime fatigue, not refreshed sleep, lack of energy that may pinpoint to some sleep disorders
