Not needed: Multivitamins have not been shown to improve health or longevity when studied scientifically.  It would be better for you to follow a healthy and nutritious diet with a lot of veggies and fruits.

See an allergist: Not all seafoods are created equally, thus you may not be allergic to all seafoods, just some seafoods.  A good allergist will be able to guide you, after sufficient testing, to let you know what is and is not available for you to eat. In the meantime, do not experiment by eating seafood on your own.

i had iodine constant 6 years ago and it nearly killed me. i want to take prenatal vitamins. am i allergic to fish oil because of the iodine allergy?

Folate: Take folate, iron and calcium separately instead of a prenatal vitamin. Folate is most important since it protects from certain birth defects. in fact some obstetricians recommend folate alone instead of prenatal vitamins if you are healthy and have a good diet.

See a dermatologist: The scalp bumps are not caused by fish oil. However it is a complete waste of money, so you should throw it away.

Discuss with allergi: Discuss this with an allergist to see if there is a  way. I do have patients  with seafood allergies  who take omega three - fish oil. The portion one is allergic  to, usually protein, is the important question.

Yes, however...: Yes, this is fine. For good health we need essential vitamins, minerals, fatty acids ; amino acids. Fish, flax ; borage provide essential omega 3 ; 6 fatty acids. One should get Amino Acids through diet. Optimal health also requires phytonutrients from fruits ; vegetables so a healthy diet is essential. For best absorption take oils ; vit separately, vits after breakfast/lunch, oils after dinner.

Yes: Like everything else, appropriate use is good. It contains a natural anti inflammatory component called epa but it is complex and normally should be taken under the control of a nutritionist with another component called gla. Both are supplementary to diet in the treatment of very common, dietary induced diseases.
