Trichinosis: Is what you can get, which is a worm.  But it is rare to get it from commercially available meat these days.  Trichomonas is another disease, sexually transmitted, caused by a protozoan organism.

Very dangerous!: Pork that is cooked rare may carry trichinosis, a parasite that can cause extremely serious health problems. I advise never eating pork unless it is well cooked!

Trichenosis: One may get severe muscle aches from undercooked pork but only when it is infected with the parasite. Fortunately this has become a rare issue in today's pork.  Once infected, only time will heal it.

: It is unlikely to make you sick and highly unlikely to kill you. If you get nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or fever, see a doctor.

You may not get sick: It depends on the state of meat before you ate.  If the meat was from a healthy animal that was slaughtered and processed hygienically, you may not suffer any ill-effects.  If these conditions are not met, illnesses range from gastro-enterititis within hours to parasitic infestations that may take years to express.

Don't know of: anything else to do. Side note- I wonder what the evidence is for testing monthly for toxoplasmosis.

Toxoplasmosis is not transmitted from pigs - bloody or not. It IS transmitted in cat feces. Avoid that.

On the other hand, trichinosis, a totally different disease, can be transmitted via undercooked pork. That COULD be a risk.

Possibly: Cooking makes sure that  potentially infectiousare killed. We have all seen examples of withdrawal of ground beef for this reason. Undercooked meat is a risk, not a certainty.
