i have been to the doctors, i have possibly have a ganglion on the base of my 4th toe on my left foot. what is the way to deal with it long/short term?

Ganglion: A ganglion cyst usually occurs in a tendon sheath, and is full of a lubricating fluid. A podiatrist can drain the fluid with a needle and inject an anti-inflammatory medication. Please don't try to treat it by striking it, which is more of a folk remedy. Ibuprofen or alleve, and ice, aren't likely to help much.

No sooner No later.: The only thing that's "needed" is that you feel comfortable with having the cyst removed. If you have no discomfort, then have it removed when you're ready. After all, the cyst will probably still be there when you are ready.

We all need somthing: Sounds like you have an exostosis, which is nothing more than an outgrowth of bone, and a ganglion cyst. If the condition is causing pain, numbness or a problem with the functioning of your foot, then surgery is probably called for. If, however, you have a lump and no symptoms associated with it, then, you have the opportunity of holding off on the surgery for what I call a "wait see".

i have a ganglion cyst on my ankle and my doctor wants to do surgery but realized a blood clot is next to it. will the blood clot affect surgery?

There are different: Types of (blood clots).... Anything that can be seen on the surface of the skin like black and blue etc is not a true blood clot. Blood clots that concern us medically are deep vein thrombosis. 
You should be fine with removing the ganglion. Keep in mind his is elective surgery so if you needed to wait for the &quot;clot&quot; you speak of to go away first, that can be done.
