UNTIL YOU CAN SEE YOUR DOCTOR, SOAK YOUR HAND IN WARM (NOT HOT) WATER.
SOAK IN AND OUT FOR 15 MINUTES EVERY 2 OR 3 HOURS.
GET A WHITE COTTON GLOVE AND PUT IT ON BEFORE BEDTIME.

: Leave it alone &amp; the body will eventually absorb the blister fluid &amp; heal. If the blister breaks keep the area clean and apply antibiotic ointment. If the area begins to swell or turn red go see your doc. It will take a week or so for this to pass.

Burn Care: Blisters should be opened and base cleaned up. Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) creme and. Gauze for dressings usually. The hand is important and worth having a burn doctor follow up on the injury to be sure no complications result that might limit movement.

Maybe: It's best to just leave it and let it drain.If it is bothersome,poking a sterile needle into it,but leaving the blister intact won't hurt.

Do not break: It will eventually burst but it will feel more comfortable if you have a bandage cushioning it.
It is sterile while a blister.If gets worse see a doctor.Keep clean with soap and water and apply triple antibiotic.Make sure tetanus shot up to date.

Depends in deprh: Superficial (1st degree) burns with redness require minimal treatment with an ointment & possible nsaids (if not sensitive). Partial thickness injury(2nd & 3rd degree) with blisters must be treated with topical antibiotics (bacitracin for face - silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) for body) if not allergic in order to minimize the risk of infection which may increase the amount of tissue damage. Sulfamylon for ear eschars.

NO!!!!!: Bacitracin does not prevent infections. Bacitracin is a common sensitizer. It is one of the most common causes of allergic reactions. Usually the reactions just cause local itch, redness, swelling, poor wound healing. A few deaths have occurred. Treat it with water irrigation and vaseline or Aquaphor.
