NO!!!!!: Bacitracin does not prevent infections. Bacitracin is a common sensitizer. It is one of the most common causes of allergic reactions. Usually the reactions just cause local itch, redness, swelling, poor wound healing. A few deaths have occurred. Treat it with water irrigation and vaseline or Aquaphor.

Yes: Some babies are even born with a "sucking blister" from sucking on their own hands in utero. It is common and normal for breastfed babies to get this same type of sucking blister from feeding. It is not dangerous and you don't need any medicine or creams to treat it.

If your pediatrician diagnoses this condition, treatment is supportive and includes acetaminophen, topical pain relief and making sure your child is drinking plenty of fluids until the illness runs its course.

Don't pop them: Apply cold compresses, take Ibuprofen or acetaminophen, and avoid popping the blisters. Apply a topical antibiotic ointment. If the blisters are severe or rupture, see a dermatologist to treat possible infection.

The loose skin : Should be trimmed away, the blister cleaned, then dressed with an antibiotic ointment and then covered with a band aid. It will take a few days, but the soreness will gradually decrease as the skin under the blister dries out and toughens up.
