Sounds normal : The hematoma that is deep usually makes more appearance at the skin over 2 to 3 days and over the next week may spread out over the area depending on loose skin and dermis and gravity affects of the areas. Bone has sensory endings in the layer around the bones surface like the bark of a tree.If you hit it, the blow can trigger the pain receptors & sometimes a reaction at the bones surface. A bump may form with some calcium buildup. A direct or glancing blow can trigger the event. Over time it will heal on its own.
