Should still work: Monovision should continue to work unless something else is going on. It is possible that you have very early cataracts, which can cause changes in prescription.

Thyroid and meds: Amiodarone has a high iodine content and can make thyroid function erratic.  Both steroids and beta blockers (end in -olol) prevent T4 to T3 (liothyronine) conversion.   Estrogen and Progesterone can effect protein binding of thyroid hormone.  Interferon can induce thyroid autoimmunity.

Needs  to se ortho: If severe arthritis she is better off seeing and orthopedics for injections and contemplating surgery if all medications failed. Talk to her primary care doctor.

Tolerance: People can develop tolerance to many medications after taking them for prolonged periods. Florinef is prescribed to retain sodium and prevent a drop in blood pressure, and in your case,thereby preventing the onset of rapid heart beat that can be a reaction to the drop in blood pressure when you stand. Check with your physician about taking a larger dose of florinef as long as there are no adverse

: The Nexplanon implant lasts 3 years. There is no evidence that they every stop working early. Irregular menstrual periods are typically caused by stress, weight loss/gain, new exercise program or other lifestyle changes that can cause hormonal fluctuations. Talk to you OB/Gyn about these new symptoms and seek recommendations for additional treatment.

when i take 40mg valsartan i notice my hand veins dilating in 30min and my face gets warm, within 12 hours this effect is completely gone. does the drug stop working within that time frame so it's basically useless the rest of the day?

: Valsartan reaches a peak effect in about 6 hours but continues to produce blood pressure lowering for 24 hours. You're experiencing maximal dilation of arterioles throughout your body from 4-6 hours but its effect slowly decreases over the rest of the 24 hours. We still don't have the perfect blood pressure medication that only has one direct mechanism and remains at a constant level for 24 hours.

TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA: It last for a long time with sometimes facial disfiguration aside from the constant pain. Gabapentin , vitamin B12 injections help shorten duration. I have seen  only 2 cases

Possibly not.: The risk of relapse is highest in the  first five years the levels out gradually at about 40% after 5 years.  But the risk of relapse is dependent on  other factors including  personal illness particularly endocrine illness, malignancy, even severe viral illnesses.    keeping  in regular followup with your prescribing physician is  a good way to catch beginning relapse.

ive been on escitalpram 10mg for 5 years. for a while it helped me feel less anxious and get on with my life happily. now im always anxious/depressed/not sleeping properly. can antidepressants stop working? would i need to change to a diff one?

: You need counseling again and a higher dose of escitalopram can be considered at the same time. When symptoms have improved, your doctor can re-adjust the maintenance dose. If a higher dose, a different antidepressant may be tried. Please re-contact your behavior team or get refer to see one if you have been treated by a family doctor.
