Sometimes taking a digestive enzyme supplement containing lipase with your meal will help. Remember, intake of more than 20-25% of your daily calories from fat is unhealthy. And the total amount of saturated fat component should be less than 10% of the total fat.

Fat dyscrasia: This can happen. Some folks have an additional medical problem- pancrease, (pancrelipase) post gb syndrome. Etc. Others take a digestive aid after meals and wait until the common duct gets larger over time and less bile dumping occurs.

Do an exclusion for a week or two then re-introduce the item and random associations are eliminated. If the symptom recurs avoid it. There are blood test that can suggest things to avoid &amp; items that are a severe risk. Beyond that, consumer beware. If it sounds too good, it is.

The best: treatment is to let it run its course,stay well hydrated with gatorade((if you can)). It usually lasts 24-48 hours. If you get too dehydrated,go to ER for IV fluids. Sometimes an antivomiting drug will help.

Lactose intolerance?: Lactose intolerance is common--25% of caucasians, 80% of afro-americans, almost 100% asians. Lactose intolerance can be secondary to lactase enzyme deficiency, or due to a bigger problem of small bowel inflammation, infection, infiltrative disease, and/or maldigestion. Don't assume its lactose intolerance unless tested, or at least assessed response to lactase enzyme replacement (like lactaid).

Stanford: You are unlikely to be excepted into an eating disorders program unless you're eating disorder is severe or unless you're willing to pay cash.
