i have a 4 month old baby with eczema we from south africa cape town and the cetaphil eczema baby products are not available here

i was advised by cetaphil to use the cetaphil restoraderm just need to know if this is okay for her age of 4 mo?

Itchy scalp: I've found that aveeno (oatmeal) makes great products for eczema. The key is to use hypoallergenic products with minimal alcohol. Try to find products which are colorless and without perfume.

Need more info: I don't see any relationship to the topical products you are using. I would bring the findings of the skin on the baby's face to the attention of the pediatrician. Having one skin problem may lead to another kind of skin problem.

prednisone & clindycine with benadryl (diphenhydramine) & cetaphil eczema calming lotion. my face is now scanned over, no more weeping. how long will this last?

Depends: Prednisone will likely control most skin inflammation but may cause serious side effects if taken for a long time. It is also unusual for atopic eczema to involve the face alone.  Whether the condition will return or not depends on the actual cause of the disease.  If clindamycin is used at low dose regularly as an anti-inflammatory agent , it may well control the disease process.

i'm 23...how can i help my eczema? does diet affect it? i use creams now.
also, cetaphil has this new eczema soap and lotion...does it work well?

Eczema management: Atopic dermatitis is a skin condition characterized by dry, wrinkled, itchy and occasionally red skin.  Symptoms can be reduced with hypoallergenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil, CeraVue, etc., and fragrance/dye free detergents.  Moisturizers in ointment form penetrate deeper.  Topical steroids are also helpful. Avoid eating foods that you are allergic to and stay well hydrated.

is cortisone 10 intensive healing eczema lotion (1% hydrocortisone) safe to use on the face?

Yes: but do note that prolonged use may thin your skin. It is better to try to pinpoint the cause than using a medication to control it.  Consider seeing an allergist or dermatologist .

after shaving my head with a razor then going outside without my hat, can cetaphil moisturizing lotion protect my shaved head from sun?

Ideally you would: Use a lotion or cream that contains some form of sunscreen.  Since this is a sensitive part when your hair is removed, you'll want to be extra careful about a sunburn in this area.  Aim for a sunscreen on the order of at least SPF 30 or more.  Best of luck.

Cetaphil good!!!: Cetaphil will HELP your face. Throw away the polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin). Like neosporin, bacitracin, and triple antibiotic, it is a common sensitizer, often causing just what you describe. Since none of these seem to be of any use, there is no reason to ever use any of them.

is it safe to use cetaphil body wash and lotion on a 6 week old baby face for hives and dryness?

Yes but..: Hives are unusual in a 6 wk old and are more likely a newborn rash which might not improve with wash, but should go away over time.
