can my scalp be tender because of infected sinuses?

Sinusitis: None of the sinuses are directly under the hair bearing scalp, so there should not be any tenderness from sinusitis.  Your sinuses are below your cheeks, between your eyes and in your forehead.  These areas would be tender, not your scalp.

can sinuses make youndizzy and/or make the after effects of labyrinthitis worse? my forehead is tender and my vision is kind of foggy.

i've had a penny sized lymph node under my jaw for about 4 days. i've have stuff my sinuses now and cold sore. it's a little tender. how long do fussy lymph nodes take to return to normal? i have read 1 to 2 weeks. some sources say longer. thoughts?

Not concerning: If the lymph node recently appeared and is tender it is almost certainly benign and a result of a recent infection. It will slowly reduce in size. Recheck it in 2 -3 weeks. If still no change recheck again in 2-3 weeks. In the UNLIKELY event that it doesn't resolve have it checked by your physician.

i've found that toward the end of a cold, when my sinuses are starting to drain, they feel sore/raw. why? anything i can do to alleviate that?

Help: There are increased sensitivity to cold and soreness on the stage of recovery from sinusitis. Please try the Sudafed twice s day for 4-5 days.

Shortness of breath: If the shortness of breath is mild, please see your PCP or urgent care. For more severe shortness of breath, please see the Emergency Department. An imaging test is suggested and screening for influenza and COVID 19

Virus: It sounds like you have a viral infection. Try using an over the counter saline nasal solution and see if it helps.

Problem sinuses?: A head cold - stuffy nose - blocked sinuses can often result in sinus infections.  When the sinus in the upper  jaw becomes infected, the gums can also feel itchy.  Other blocked sinuses can produce a headache. Your ENT (ear-nose-throat) physician can help diagnose whether your sinus(es) is/are infected and treat with decongestants and antibiotics, if needed.

Infection?: Lymph nodes (glands) usually enlarge when they work hard to fight off infections. Five months is a long time to go w/o checking w/ a doctor for the cause. There are other things under jaws - salivary glands, thyroid, etc. Have an exam - perhaps see an ENT specialist. Something is not right and it's not self-correcting so far. Best wishes!

Maybe: Deviated septum and concha bullosa may predispose you to sinus infections. Pressure and soreness overlying your sinuses may be a symptom. Dizziness may or may not be related. See your doctor to be sure. If you have frequent infections due to your septum and concha, you may want to see an ent.
