May need biopsy : Has to be concerned for recurrence of tumor, I am sure her doctor already explained ,  if there is fluid will analyze , may visualize area  with thoracoscope and biopsy the area, if it is scar nothing to be done, if it is a recurrence need additional  treatments and  to follow her doctor advice.

Lung nodule: It sounds like a lung nodule. I assume you had a CT of the chest, or abdomen (the latter of which includes the lower chest). If it appears to be a true nodule, the typical recommendation is to get follow-up CTs at 3, 9, and 24 months, PET, and/or biopsy. I would speak to your primary doc about further management, especially if you have a smoking history or other risk factors for cancer.

Lung nodule: The description is consistent with Lung nodules which can have a smooth rounded or lobulated appearance. Repeating a CT chest in 3 months would be wise. Anything larger than 6mm does raise suspicion for malignancy especially if it had a “spiculated” appearance

Nodular adrenals: You may have a form of Conn's Syndrome. Come to my Yahoo Group hyperaldoseronism@Yahoo.com where I have 1,300 like you. Need pictures too see if you look like you have Cushing's Syndrome.

seen in current ct of chest, previous ct in sept 2022 these were not seen: pleural based oval shaped nodular density 8.6 mm in right lower lobe. an 8 pleural based nodular density posteriorly in left lower lobe 4.4 mm. is this concerning?

: They are very small-too small to biopsy. Often, these end up being inflammatory nodules that will go away; sometimes new ones will appear. If you are smoking, you should quit ASAP. These will need to be followed so you should probably be re-scanned in about 3 months or so. If they haven’t changed, then the scan occurs again 6 months later and then a year after that, if there are no changes.

i had a ct scan in october 2020 that showed a 5mm nodular density on my right lower lung. im 33, non-smoker, no lung related issues. do i need a follow up scan? if so, when? is all that radiation risky? thanks?

: The CT images and report may be uploaded during a virtual consultation with Healthtap. More information would be helpful, including family history and appearance of the nodule. Many solitary nodules among non smokers are benign. Watch for sputum production, weight loss and blood in mucus.

Do they give a size: for the "subpleural nodular density"?  There are a litany of potential causes, from chronic to acute, from inflammatory to neoplastic, from no concern to worrisome.  More specific info on the nodule and any relevant clinical history would help narrow it down.

Nope: The biggest difference will be made by where you live and your symptoms. If you live in an endemic area and you have had symptoms such as cough, blood in sputum, weight loss, etc, then tb will be definitely in the differential diagnosis as early lesions are usually seen in the upper lobes, the description otherwise is too nonspecific to confirm the diagnosis.

Whitish spot on xray: On a chest x-ray, sometimes there are whitish spots that aren't supposed to be there in the normally dark images of the lungs. The spots are usually less than an inch wide, and often less than half-an-inch wide. Disorders that show up as a nodular density or multiple densities include infections (such as TB or other germs), fungi (such as aspergillus), inflammatory disorders, cancers, etc...
