ChromosomalAbnormaly: Short long bones are considered a soft sign of potential chromosomal abnormality and generally a fetal pericardial effusion also can be indicative of a chromosomal problem (not always).  The leukocyte esterase is separate. Your OB doctor is going to be the best person to interpret these findings for you because they have all of the information to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

No: No, the growth plates in a 40 year old have been closed have been closed for many years and so pagers or really any condition can not really cause the growth of a person several inches at that age.  Hat size can get bigger as the skull can enlarge, but no significant vertical growth.

These columns grow one cell at a time, and cells at the bottom swell and die and become a scaffold for bone formation. No: Bones continue to form, breakdown and reform. It is a continuous process.  Ossification occurs when the growth plates close. This happens at different ages and also depends on the sex.   I can't think of a disease process that would cause a long bone to shrink before it ossifies.

Not possible: Once you stop growing in your late teens the growth plates are closed and there is nothing which can make you start growing again. In acromegaly the bones will not get longer so you won't grow taller but the bones, particularly around the face, may get thicker.
