Nothing to worry: The 2 month old has viral diarrhea, most likely Rotavirus, for which he hasn't been immunized. Nothing else to do except making sure he remains well hydrated. If diarrhea persists beyond 2-3 wks, you may need to temporary switch to lactose free formula.

Best exercse low key: It is important to eat enough to maintain basal body wt (or just keep your body going) if you eat less your metabolic rate goes down and body feels you are starving and hangs on to all its energy. Also walking is the best exercise .too vigerous exercise stresses you out , your cortisol gores up and you store fat.

To few calories!: Assuming you are not hyperthyroid, the most common cause is eating too few calories! although meats, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, nuts are the most nutrient dense foods, if you are a vegan, or have dietary preferences that take you away from these food sources, you might have problems. I always encourage consumption of protein and good fats! but your goal is to put on muscle, not fat.

Failure to thrive: At almost any age this is abnormal for an extended period of time ie 6 months or more. Ask your pediatrician.  Failure to gain weight can be due to something as simple as not eating well or as complex as some serious illnesses.

Formula : Formula is her main source of calories at this age. Continue to offer a variety of food groups, usually starving with iron fortified cereal and vegetables puréed.pureed fruits and then meats may be added after these food introductions. Allow three days in between food introductions to see if there are any allergic responses such as a rash.

Sure...but: It would be reasonable to have him seen to make sure there is no subtle medical condition causing the problem. Just feeding him more calories from any source can add weight, but any overlooked condition can do more harm while you  try such efforts.

???????: It is nice that you posted weights but you have not posted an age for any of them. A general approach to poor weight gain would be feeding more often to increase milk production and or adding a supplemental feed of 1-2 oz of formula after each feeding. If you can find a LALeache league  member nearby they can coach her on technique.
