Possibilities: It could be a number of things but sounds like a nerve is involved.  I might suggest seeing a neurologist or orofacial pain specialist for an evaluation.

what causes tingling in only one side of tongue? i have just that symptom that is all. could it be ms or anxiety? ms could do that single symptom?

Accepted Answer

Yes but....: While ms could theoretically cause this isolated symptom, as a male of 29 years of age it probably is not ms and is, as you say, just anxiety.  If the symptoms persist or if you notice other similar neurological symptoms you should see your doctor.

my b12 is 219. my neurologist says i need weekly injections. what causes low b12? im being tested for ms and other autoimmune disorders?

: Dietary deficiency ( lack of meat,fish, dairy products) is a possible cause but probably doesn't pertain to you. Lack of gastric acid is a common cause of inability to absorb Vit  B12 &amp; causes pernicious anemia. There are various tests for this including B12 antibodies.

See dermatologist: This does not represent ms, but certainly could be a reaction to your meds, as some ms drugs can be immunosuppressants and create an infection susceptibility.  Have this diagnosed and treated and reassess your current med approach.

does anyone know what causes (i.e. physiology) the extreme fatigue in ms? (no sleep disturbance, have adequate intake and exerc., spasticity treated)

Brief response: Fatigue is very common in MS and typically best correlated with "burden of disease" illustrated on MRI studies.  If you have MS, we can evaluate your current medication and dietary program, and perhaps modify and improve the entire picture. gbs diag3/11/13, ms symptoms, ascending pain from foot to hip, what causes ascending unilateral pain, pain medication not relieving pain.

Perhaps peripheral: The guillain-barre syndrome can cause nerves in the leg to be susceptible to local compression, and you may have a problem with nerve issues in foot or ankle but even more proximally, like hip or low back.  Does not really fit ms.  An EMG test might help.

what causes tingling / burning / vibration in the feet during warm shower? i have borderline to low t4, hashimoto and insulin resistance. thanks 
scared of ms, only did a spinal cord cut, back all fine.

Neuropathy: It could be an early peripheral neuropathy but I would expect more persistent symptoms in your feet with that. Nevertheless I recommend getting checked for Vitamin B12 deficiency and diabetes. A neurologist is best to consult if symptoms persist or worsen. Appropriate testing would be done and could include an EMG.

what causes average low blood pressure 95/60? i have dizziness alot. had norm cardiac tests, doctors don't seem concerned. possible ms/ many brain lesions under investigation. heart palps.

Another doctor: If the BP is way below your past measurements for no reason and you are still dizzy, you need to find another doctor who would work with you given your symptoms. Why are you on prednisone?  If you had been on Prednisone for months then stopped it abruptly, you may have an adrenal insufficiency which may be a potential cause for your dizziness.
