Patients who have more neuromuscular problems, dizziness issues, back problems find tai chi more helpful.  I would try both out and see if it helps.  Also drink more water since dehydration from caffeine, not enuf water makes the joints hurt.  Use glucosamine and curcumin for joint pain.

Often: There is a genetic condition that causes lower back and large and small joint stiffness, called ankylosing spondylitis. If this is the cause of your stiffness you should see a rheumatologist who will prescribe x-ray studies and an anti inflammatory to start the treatment. Other conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis  can cause joint and back stiffness. You should definitely see a rheumatologist.

Avoid night shades: To help joint stiffness, eating an anti-inflammatory diet is key: 9 servings of fruits and veggies (3 cups dark greens, 3 cups the cruciferous veggies and the then the rest).   Dark veggies are not so great like eggplant.  Add curcumin and glucosamine as well as increase the water intake (0.5oz for each pound you weigh!).
