Newborn acne: Newborns develop baby acne around 2 weeks of age and it peaks around 6 weeks, usually gone by 12.  If your baby is in this age group, it could be newborn acne.  Your baby's pores are sensitive to changes in hormone levels(just like during the teen years) - so all those Estrogens they were exposed to during pregnancy are suddently gone - and boom - breakout!no treatment needed - be patient.

You : You can see a small fine red rash after a MMR vaccine but the rash you describe has occurred too long after receiving the vaccine.  No need to fear the MMR vaccine.  The rash you describe sounds like hives.  The next time it happens, take a picture of it to show your pediatrician. Phone cameras are great for documenting short lived rashes like this since odds are your child may not have it at the time of the doctor visit.

Chronic urticaria: Your friend seems to have chronic urticaria (hives). It can be difficult to find the cause, but in any case, she should be under the care of an allergist.

Hard to tell: Hard to tell what a rash is without seeing it. Perhaps they are molluscum contagiosum (basically small wart-like lesion). Only way to know is to have her see her pediatrician

Rash: It sounds like Stella has a childhood exanthem. I have never heard of an arthropod assault resulting in a generalized papular eruption. You need to take Stella to a pediatrician who can ask you some questions and visualize the rash to come up with a diagnosis before treating her.

Depends on the rash: Depending on the type of rash, something can be done. Sometimes the treatment doesn't make the rash go away any faster (so, one might say nothing can be done), but certain creams might make the bumps smoother, less itchy (if they itch), or less noticeable. Rashes that may look like tiny white bumps include some eczema rashes, and hot-tub rashes (may happen after sitting in a hot water spa tub).

Chicken Pox: Chicken Pox generally begin in the central area of the body, and erupt in patches. It takes 2-3 days for them to appear on other areas of the body. They are initially red bumps but turn into blisters that have a central indentation. They are extremely itchy and the scratching will often lead to scars. The rash your child has does not sound typical for chicken pox. ? Immunization at 12 months?
