SDMA: As I understand it, The symmetric dimethylarginine test is a very specific measure of kidney function and if it is elevated it points to kidney pathology and should lead to other tests to determine the type of kidney disorder. Warm pear with ricotta cheese, sprinkled with cinnamon.  Cup of edamame (boiled soybeans).  More?

When and how: when it keep happening,is it right after you wake up,if that the case it could be the way you slept,is it after exercising or after a long day looking at a computer screen.
and how it feels,like spasm,stabbing,or choking,is it one sided or both sides.
most of the time it is a muscle spasm,like the one we get in the legs or the back,but more scary because of location.
apply heat,eat banana,oranges.
