Eye drops: Zaditor (Ketotifen) eye drops are over the counter. These are antihistamine eye drops, can be used 1 drop in each eye twice daily as needed to help relieve itchy eyes if there is no history of eye diseases. Hope this helps!

The blinking action stimulates the corneal surface nerve endings that are irritated.  The most common cause is related to ocular surface dryness, but other causes may include the presence of a foreign body, preservatives in eye drops.

Hot steam showers, Cold-Eze Lozenges, Tylenol 1-2 TABLETS every 4-6 hours as needed for fever greater than 100. Tea with dark brown honey OK to use Robitussin DM 1-2 tsp. every 4-6 hrs.as needed. OK to use 12 hour nasal spray for 2-3 days.  Zyrtec 10mg 1/day.
