It can be: Depression can have many symptoms besides sadness. Trouble sleeping at night is a common symptom of depression. Others are changes in appetite, anxiety, irritability, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, trouble concentrating. Every depressed person does not have all these symptoms. If you think you are depressed please see your doctor for treatment.  Meds, exercise and counseling can all help.

8- month-olds need: 14 hrs. sleep/24 hrs., 8-9 hrs. at night &amp; 2-3 daily naps, which she gets. At a regular bedtime, feed her, then brush her teeth with a small smear of toothpaste. Read,  cuddle, then put her to bed in her own room, drowsy but awake, without bottle or pacifier, to self-calm for sleep. Ignore the night-waking. See doctor...: Possibilities include bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, post-nasal drip or even a combination of factors. Once the etiology of your cough is identified, it can be treated since each of these has a different treatment. So, see your doctor asap.

Neurologist: A diagnosis of your headaches has to be made. A neurologist is best to perform the evaluation and arrange for appropriate testing. Although tension headaches may be the problem, I feel that other causes have to be checked for. If they turn out to be muscle contraction tension headaches, stress management therapy should be helpful.

Fussy: Could be either or both. As your child should begin seeing a Dentist, preferably a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist, by 1st b'day, it's time to call to make an appointment. If the office you call says wait until baby is 2 or 3, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Age 1 is stated Standard of Care.
