This occurs mostly during the night, waking up every, what feels like, 30 minutes and the headache is there. when i open my eyes in the morning, the headache is there, it is a constant pain that just doesn't seem to go away.

Neurologist: A diagnosis of your headaches has to be made. A neurologist is best to perform the evaluation and arrange for appropriate testing. Although tension headaches may be the problem, I feel that other causes have to be checked for. If they turn out to be muscle contraction tension headaches, stress management therapy should be helpful.
