Foban is safe: Foban is a trade name for a mild, compounded antibiotic. It's safe to use on the face or any other skin surface. It should help healing of an open wound infected with common bacteria (staph, strep).

Not recommended: As harmless as an antibiotic cream might seem, it is actually absorbed into the skin and the rest of the body. That means different germs 'see' this medication and can generate resistance to it - which may be an issue down the road. (Hopefully never but you can't predict the future). Better to find out what exactly is causing the rash and base your treatment on that. A dermatologist may be of help

Wrong question: Throw away the foban. A scab is NOT desirable for best healing. Lubricate with vaseline or Aquaphor. Water is good for it. No antibiotic or antiseptic is of the slightest benefit except as lubrication. They may cause allergic reactions. Wounds heal better without any of them!!!!

Topical antibiotic: The face has an amazing ability to heal.  The use of a topical antibiotic such as Foban is rarely indicated except with proven staphylococcal infections.  I would suggest a mild cream such as Nivea massaged on the wound twice daily.

i'm 17 weeks pregnant  and i used fucidin cream 2% ( fusidic acid) inside my vagina on a sore about 4-5 times.. will it harm my baby?

Vag Administration: The amount of systemic absorption of this drug is likely low so i don't think you're doing much or any harm, especially at 17wks when the fetus has already formed all of is organs/structures. Animal studies and many years of clinical experience suggest that fusidic acid does not cause birth defects.

i had cut in corner of mouth. antifungal cream didn't heal. fusidic acid cream's working (3 days using). when can i stop using it? can i kiss my bf?

Cuts are other thing: angular cheilosis or cuts in the corner of the mouth can be fungal,  can be caused by a vitamin deficiency, can be caused by an overclosed bite or dentition, or a number of problems.  If the antifungal cream was used for 2 weeks and did not work may assume that it is the wrong medication or it is not fungal.  An Oral Surgeon should be seen.

When it is healed: Keep using the cream and don't kiss until the cut heals.  Probably will take 5-7 days.  If it doesn't heal or keeps breaking open, see your doctor.  Good luck!
