Topical antibiotic: The face has an amazing ability to heal. The use of a topical antibiotic such as Foban is rarely indicated except with proven staphylococcal infections. I would suggest a mild cream such as Nivea massaged on the wound twice daily.

Wound care: The basic principle of wound healing is clean, removing devitalized tissue, good blood flow and products like the one that has been recommended, to protect the wound during the healing process. As long as there is progress towards wound healing, the wound is less tender, getting smaller, no odor you are okay. Be well.

Antibiotic cream: Foban is a topical antibiotic used to prevent or cure infection not used to stimulate wound healing. Once wound is sealed no benefit from the foban cream, won't improve the eventual scar.
