Children have far more sensitive nerves, e.g. their belly tickles on touching but that does not have the same effect in grown ups. Similarly, the sense of touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight deteriorate with age. It is important for her to maintain nutrition as she may not feel like eating.

These: symptoms/signs are common after the use of a broad spectrum antibiotic...If the thrush is treated with antifungals you might try eating some yogurt to help "replace" the normal PH and bacteria in your mouth and on your tongue (a tongue brush may be helpful) Finally your DENTIST may have some advice!

Decreased taste: Part of our sense of taste is due to our sense of smell. When nasal congestion inhibits smell, our sense of taste is diminished as well. Using saline nasal spray to loosen & remove mucous congestion should help taste return to normal. If more is needed, otc decongestant can shrink congested passages to allow mucus to come out. If you have BP problems, ask doc b4 using decongestant.
