i'm covered with a rash that looks a lot like shingles, covering both sides. scabby and weeping. it isn't in a specific location either. what is it?

Poison Ivy possibly: Many different things can cause skin reactions like this. In a healthy 17 year old poison ivy (or similar plant) is high on the list. The only way to be sure is to have an evaluation by your M.D. And review with them what you may have been exposed too.

See a doctor: A weeping rash on the scrotum could be due to an infection, allergic reaction, or eczema. Your primary care doctor or dermatologist can sort this out.

Intertrigo: This may be a rash from heat and friction which is somewhat common in the armpit area. However,yeast infections are also often seen there as well. If an antiyeast cream such as lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) doesn't clear up the rash and stop the itch, see your physician.

Yes, that is quite: common. The fluid, called serous fluid, is the fluid that results from inflammation of the layers of the skin. It is not an indication of infection, as patients sometimes think. This usually lasts anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks if untreated. I would recommend seeing your doctor, who may be able to prescribe a topical or oral steroid to speed up the healing process.

since i had the reaction to hair dye, my rash is weeping clear fluids and  i scratched my foot too hard and now it also is weeping.is this normal?

No: It sounds like eczema, contact eczema / atopic eczema, you need to see your doctor /dermatologist, meanwhile keep the area clean and dry, you may apply OTC hydrocortisone cream in the interim till you see your doctor

a friend has had a rash under her arm for 8 days, the doctor has said it's measles but it's still itchy and is now weeping clear fluid, is this normal?

Not measles: Measles is a systemic rash -it wouldn't be localized just under one arm. If it's itchy I wonder if it might be 'contact dermatitis' -an allergy to something? say a cream, lotion, deodorant?  The fact that it's weeping clear fluid means the tissue (skin) is damaged from the rash. Not sure if there's any fever but u may want to apply antibiotic ointment -like bacitracin. I recc going back to the doc

five months into combo tx for hep c. now i have a nasty ribavirin rash on my body. what can i do to relieve the incessant itching and weeping rash?

Treatment rash?: If you are taking a triple drug regimen for hepatitis c with interferon, ribavirin, and telaprevir then the rash is probably related to the third agent.  However, what you are describing sounds generalized and severe, and at risk for secondary infection.  Some rashes, like stevens-johnson eruptions, can even be life-threatening.  Make sure you seek medical attention as soon as possible.

6 month old with eczema with weeping neck and leg rash. atm, bf and feeding rice cereal, fruits and veggies.any advice what to do?

Severe eczema: Weeping rash in this young age should be seen in an office and best to see ur pediatrician and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Also they now have blood tests for allergen testing so you do not have to wait for the baby tog et older for skin testing to see what measures will help with the eczema.

Contact allergy?: Itchy blisters are suggestive of a contact allergy perhaps to fragrance in underarm deodorant.  Try topical hydrocortisone and use hypoallergenic deodorant.  If this does not help. consult a dermatologist or allergist.
