Intertrigo: This may be a rash from heat and friction which is somewhat common in the armpit area. However,yeast infections are also often seen there as well. If an antiyeast cream such as lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) doesn't clear up the rash and stop the itch, see your physician.

Poison Ivy: Poison Ivy can cause this type of rash, and is most likely the cause. The oil can linger on clothing and items that have come in contact with the plant oil. Start with Benadryl (diphenhydramine) over the counter, avoid hot water, use cool or luke warm water to wash, and wash everything that may have any plant oil. If continuing to spread and worsen see a doctor who can prescribe steroids to block the reaction.
