Diverticulosis: and possibly prior episode of diverticulitis could present this way. So too does infected segment or inflammation. The mild dilated small bowel in the current context is not as much of concern as the condition of the colon. Best discuss these findings with your doctor to put them into a good clinical picture. Changes: Described on report are consistent with inflammation (patchy erythema) and a vicious tunneled communication (fistula) between the colon and skin and/or bowel loops, for example. Such changes are typically seen in inflammatory bowel disease, but other causes cannot be ruled out. Your main reference should be your gastroenterologist who would be best positioned to discuss findings in proper context.

Tough one!: There is an ileorectal anastomosis - when the colon is removed we can attach the ileum - part of the end of the small intestine - to the rectum.  There is also an ileosigmoid anastomosis - when the ileum is attached to the sigmoid colon.
Often the area is called the rectosigmoid region so this leads to the confusion.  There is no ileorectal sigmoid anastomosis.

please tell me, could a sigmoid volvulous resolve on its own?

Yes it can: If it is not completely twisted beyond point of no return.  Otherwise, it needs to be reduced by endoscopy, and a surgical procedure is needed to prevent recurrence.  But you should consult a GI specialist for specific recommendation, before this condition becomes a surgical emergency.
