my prescribed singulair is not working for my seasonal allergies. i take my dose in the evenings. my eyes are itching and dry. can i take two?

No: No, do not take two singulair, but there are other medicines for allergies that are more effective. Oral antihistamines (like cetrizine) or antihistamine eye drops (like Alaway or Claritin Eye) are helpful for sneezing, itching, runny nose, and itchy eyes. Nose sprays that contain steroid also can help with the inflammation in the nose and sinuses.

No harm done: One extra dose of Singulair (montelukast) should have no harmful side effects. Singulair (montelukast)  has a wide safety margin so your daughter should have no ill effects.  But it is a good opportunity for you  to discuss the importance of proper dosing and the possible  serious effects of taking too many pills or taking the wrong medication.  She is old enough.

i am on singulair 10 mg daily and zyrtec. i have forgotten both for the past two days and just took a singulair. is it ok to take benadryl as well?

is it ok to take primatene tablets? i have really bad allergies and was prescribed singulair (montelukast) two years ago. zyrtec does not help me. symptoms persist and now i also have chest tightness and i squeek when i breathe at night.

Singulair, (montelukast) Claritin : Singulair (montelukast) and Claritin have different method of working , They are ok if taken together , may cause more drowsiness .

i cant remember if i took my singulair & zertec this morning, i started getting allergies  so i took them would an accidental double dose harm me?

Likely it : would not , however side effects of these medications can be exacerbated and there are multiple.  If you have no significant symptoms or just a dry mouth and nose and it has been at least 36 hrs from last dose then don't worry.  I would skip a day's dose if you are certain you doubled up on these medications.

my 4 year old takes zyrtec 1 tsp and singulair 4mg every night. she got a couple mosquito bites yesterday and they are swollen. can she have a dose of benadryl also tonight? her left eye has also been watering for several days even with both allergy meds.

Single dose: it is in the same class but a single dose of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is ok tonight . For the eyes you may try over the counter Zaditor eye drops .

Complicated: I don't think in an asthmatic patient there is a contraindication of being on singulair (montelukast) and terbutaline, they work by different pathways.  However I do see that in your hx you have high blood pressure and not sure whether terbutaline is a good choice if you have asthma.
