Reactive airway: disease has been reported after exposure to mold and long term cases have also been described.  A consultation with a PULMONOLOGIST  (lung specialist) is strongly suggested!

Brochioles WBC Cough: The bronchioles are lined with mucous &amp; water secreting cells along with ciliary cells. The mucous floats on top of the water layer, traps inhaled particles &amp; bacteria, the ciliary cells whip the mucous layer up to the pharynx &amp; is swallowed into stomach; a mucociliary elevator clearing all lung air passages every 15-30 min, 24/7. WBCs attracted to problem areas &amp; coughing are backup mechanisms.

Bronchitis: As with any infection, it may take a couple of weeks to fight a novel pathogen, or more quickly if it is from one that has attacked before. Bacterial bronchial infections should be treated with an antibiotic as it helps to hasten the resolution. If the infection is from a virus, it will usually resolve on its own. Asthma, smoking, or structural problems can complicate the problem.

Maybe doesn't matter: Most antibiotics drop to ineffective levels within 24 hours, but azithromycin (Zithromax, Z-pak), which is often used for bronchitis, lasts 7-10 days. However, it probably doesn't matter. Antibiotics often don't speed clearing of bronchitis; and when they do, probably only the first 5-7 days matters. After that, additional antibiotic usually makes no difference. But check with your doctor.

Bronchitis: Yes there is plenty, call your doctor and tell them what is happening, they can change the medicine. Meanwhile take the medicine with food, not on an empty stomach.

Depends: lower airways, bronchi, are affected in many diseases, immunodeficiency states are one sort of diseases that affect all exposed surfaces, airways, gastrointestinal tract and skin, but those are very rare diseases, more common though are the type of airway inflammation in the immunocompetent persons as asthma, COPD, especially in smokers, producing symptoms of fatigue and recurrent infections

Give ?: In spite of advertising claim there are no real "immune boosters". A kid who gets proper balanced nutrition, proper rest &amp; exercise will have their best immune function. At that age they are expected to get 3-5 respiratory &amp; 1-2 diarrhea illnesses/yr. After age 5 they are sick less after building their immune system with earlier illnesses. Give supplements if you wish, they end up in pee or poop.
