: Depends on the cause. Rehydration will reverse acute renal failure secondary to dehydration and may alleviate toxin produced renal failures/ Please see a doctor in person for definitive diagnosis. You will need a good history and physical, labs and possibly imaging.

i have pain inside penis, but it's not all the time and it happens randomly. did urinalysis and they found nonhemo in urine. is it kidney failure??

No: Inability to make any urine would suggest kidney failure. Why you would think phantom pains in the penis would be related is confusing. It is a sensitive organ &amp; why you have a discomfort on occasion is not clear, but kidney failure is not part of the picture.

Why do you ask?: People with kidney failure have difficulty filtering blood to make urine. They have chronic diseases or autoimmune disorders in adolescence. Bubbly or foamy urine is a sign of its solutes causing changes in the surface tension of urine.  This is usually a dietary issue.

: Most 92 year old men have eGFR of less than 60 cc/minute, which is stage 3 so there is nothing to concern about this baseline. Painless, gross hematuria at this age is likely due to urinary tract malignancy, either from prostate, bladder, ureters or kidneys. If your dad wants everything done, urinalysis, PSA level and CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis should be done +/- cystoscopy.

Kidney failure?: Kidney failure is not just based on urine volume. Do you have any idea of what the person's you are talking about bun, creatinine and potassium levels are? If you give more information, the answers you get would be more valid.

Variable: After an episode of acute kidney injury urine may look like water as the kidney often cannot appropriately retain water. Sometimes the urine may contain blood and appear red or cola colored. Sometimes the urine looks normal and golden in color.

See a doctor soon: Symptoms suggest passing a kidney stone. If so, it is important to know how big the stone is to determine if will have trouble passing. Kidney damage/infection can occur with prolonged obstruction from a stone. Start having your partner strain his urine now because if he passes a stone you want to keep it for analysis.
