See Pediatrician : Your child has allergies causing sinusitis and maybe bronchitis/ asthma. You need to see your Pediatrician who will give you a medication to treat and maybe put him on a controller to prevent the condition from occurring so frequently

Symptoms: Your symptoms suggest infection. You will have to be examined, have images taken, and have lab tests, to arrive at correct diagnosis and thereby the correct treatment. Sounds like you need the services of a specialist ENT. Don't expect self healing, nor will OTC's provide a cure. Go see an expert.

Better medication: There are non sedating medications available that are overall better and safer for your child. Discuss with your pediatrician.

Nasal saline: Nasal saline and gentle suction may relieve post nasal drip. Cool mist humidification and providing fluids are helpful. There are children's cough syrups with honey which may provide relief for irritation of the throat. Monitor temperature and please follow up with your PCP.

my son 12 had a really bad post nasal drip. causing him to vomit. at 4pm today i gave him a celestamine 10mg. it has not worked at all. when can i give him something else ?

Can recheck with Dr.: Depends on his doctor's diagnosis and instructions. Celestamine contains a corticosteroid and an antihistamine, which means its purpose is for decreasing the inflammation and allergic response in an "allergic" nose. In the US, we usually use nasal spray steroids instead of oral steroids. If the nasal symptoms are from a cold or flu, the treatment can vary. Can call his pediatrician.
