Healthy: Healthy diet & exercise. Should be able to eat most anything. Ideal is a near vegetarian diet, smaller amounts of red meat, healthy proteins (beans, lentils, lean chicken or fish), plenty of fruits and vegetables. Smaller quantities of food, very few empty calories (sugar, pasta, white rice, white bread) & drink more water.

Not so much: The best way to treat gallbladder symptoms is to remove the gallbladder, thereby preventing future attacks.  Narcotics can "break" an attack, but this is, at best, a short term solution.  Some gallstones can be dissolved using bile salt pills but this takes months and the stones will re-form after the medication is stopped.

Low fat: 10 gram low fat diet is recommended. Avoid excess dairy products, fried foods, and fast foods as they are higher in fat content. Fat is the stimulus to the gallbladder.

Egg is not good.: Egg contains both protein and fats. Liver metabolizes the protein and also produces bile, which is green in color & is stored in the gall bladder. During digestion, bile is released from the gall bladder through the common bile duct. Bile helps in the digestion and absorption of fats through the formation of "micelles". So, egg may not be good for someone with liver or gall bladder disease.

All good: Generally there is no special diet for patient after gallbladder surgery 
some patient might not tolerate a rich or creamy or fatty meal it makes them go to the bathroom too often but in general all food are fine 
again before or after surgery bodies are nor created equally some digestive system might tolerate food that other do not simply watch what your body is trying to tell you.

good afternoon. in the last week i have got a prickly sensation on right side under my rib cage. you cannot feel anything of see any swelling or lumps. not gall bladder as i had mine out 40 year ago. it comes and goes all day?

: This rather vague symptom probably is caused by irritable superficial nerves in the abdominal wall. These usually resolve on their own. In the absence of pain, tenderness or any digestive symptoms, I would hold off consulting a physician or surgeon and give the symptoms a few more days of observation.

my gall bladder removed in 2012, i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after.i was on meds for a year then i stopped. when i stopped i started gaining weight. cant lose the weight even with exercise and good diet. do i need to go back to taking meds?

Hypothyroidism: After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and taking medication to replace the thyroid, and then stopping the medication, it would be helpful to have you retested to see the extent of you hypothyroidism. As the medication is re-started, this result will help is choosing the dose and how quickly it should be adjusted. The usual tests are TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and T4.

are "good fats" like fish oil, avocado, nuts, etc., a problem after gall bladder surgery? or is it just things like deep fried and greasy foods?

Most foods: After gallbladder surgery one should be able to gradually return to eating all normal foods, including all fatty foods. Some do have chronic fatty food intolerance with gas or diarrhea, and it would not matter where the fat came from, only the amount of fat eaten at a time.
