Not so much: The best way to treat gallbladder symptoms is to remove the gallbladder, thereby preventing future attacks. Narcotics can "break" an attack, but this is, at best, a short term solution. Some gallstones can be dissolved using bile salt pills but this takes months and the stones will re-form after the medication is stopped.
