Probably: If the symptoms are improving, you don't feel bloated, you have nor pain, nausea, or vomiting, you can probably start advancing your diet back to normal. Take it slow and if your symptoms worsen, back off.

is it ok to eat seafood, specifically shrimp & crab meat, when one has a fever? on keflex for almost 48hrs. ate seafood &then shortly after vomited. i'm not allergic to seafood. not sure if the med is working or shouldn't eat seafood during a fever?

Basics: Your digestive system is often slowed during any illness. As such simplicity in your feeding choices can help-Avoiding fatty foods or challenging spices is prudent. I see no reason to exclude seafood for those who want to eat it.

i have a swollen lymph node under jaw and i get these weird clear bubbles under my tongue after i eat. doctor prescribed keflex. should i be worried?

May not be node: When one feels a lump in the submaxillary area the question is it related to an enlarged lymph gland or swollen submaxillary salivary gland.  Having bubbles under tongue suggests an origin to a partially obstructed submax gland and saliva being regurgitated thru the sub max duct under the tongue. X ray of floor mouth will show if a stone is present in the duct.

It happens: It is too early to say the meds are not working. If this is truly strep and not mono you will improve soon.Comfort measures with gargling, throat lozenges, chilled fluids can help.Ibuprofen for pain is  helpful. Mono would just take longer to get better.You can have both at the same time.

Antibiotics: Taking antibiotics without prescription can have many bad effects. If prescribed for some reason discuss the alternatives, benefits and risks of long term therapy with your doctor. Sometimes depending on the condition treated the benefit outweights the risk. Sometimes its the other way around.

: I would not do both at exactly the same time if that is what you mean. Go to drugs.com and enter the EXACT med(s) you are taking including weed to see if there is an interaction.  Some drugs/genes will speed up metabolism of some drugs and slow down others. Ain’t nature/medicine interesting?

Keflex: To answer your question is "yes". It can be related, but it may not be related either. In other words, it's hard to tell without more history and seeing the area. If the itchiness is mild and no rash is present, i'd say keep on taking it until finished. If you cannot tolerate the itch, call your doc.

7-10 days: Antibiotics such as Keflex can work in 7-10 days sometimes shorter-  it is important to complete the course of therapy prescribed for you in order to completely eradicate the infection.  Symptoms often go away prior to completion- but take them all to avoid a repeat infection or a resistant infection which is much more difficult to treat.
