For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Why do you ask?: If you have self-diagnosed based on a list of symptoms at a website by an "independent medical thinker", or have been to a lab that tests metals on everybody (these folks are mostly charlatans), i hope you'll reconsider. Please get with an evidence-based physician who's savvy about nutrition and trace metals; if you've already done this, there's no further need to ask. Good luck.

Don't try it: Taking zinc tablets isn't going to make your armpits smell any better. Your job is at risk if you stink, and they will fire you without telling you why. The 'pop' claim that mainstream deodorants are terrible for you was made up by crooks.

Zinc supplementation: Zinc is a critical nutrient with a narrow therapeutic window.  Too much can be a problem.  Toxicity can occur with intake above 40mg daily over long periods of time, this includes all sources of intake including foods. There are tests that can measure Zinc levels in the body. I usually recommend not supplementing with any more than 20mg daily unless known deficiency is present.

None: You almost certainly get enough in your normal diet. Too much can sicken you. Absolutely don't take over 40 mg per day as supplement.

Yes: Excessive alcohol intake impairs many stomach functions and can cause multiple nutritional deficiencies. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

: Since the FDA doesn't investigate supplements like taurine, MDs are reluctant to endorse them for fear of contaminants or potential interactions with meds or medical conditions. Also there's uncertainty about dosing or claims of efficacy. Your pharmacist may have information about what you're taking.

American Diet: I am not sure where you got the notion you need extra zinc or magnesium to grow taller. That is a false myth.  The american diet provides plenty of what you need as a teenager to reach the height your genes will allow.  The bigger question here is do you get enough protein in your diet. That is the really only thing that could hinder the growth if you were not eating plenty of protein in one day.

Zinc level: I would look for other causes such as an overactive thyroid, anxiety, calcium or magnesium deficiencies,toxic substances,withdrawal from certain medications or other substances. Your physician should evaluate you and he/she will order the appropriate tests and, if deemed advisable, refer you to the proper specialists.
