No: SUV has no bearing on the aggressiveness of the cancer.  It is a relative measure of the glucose metabolism.  In fact, some very aggressive tumors have no FDG uptake at all. Some benign conditions like infection can have high uptake. The standard uptake value depends on many factors like patient body size and serum glucose level and the normal uptake in the tissue surrounding the target lesion.

: It denotes an uptake by tissues of the matreial given to you and has to be interpreted in connection with the reason and the body part ordered for. So your doc is the best person to ask.

Ask your doc...: FDG-enhanced PET/CT is to show the unusual increase or decrease in glucose metabolism at certain areas of the body especially inside a mass - before or after drug treatment. Based on the features and distribution of FDG imaging enhancement as defined from experience, a diagnosis can be drawn; of course, biopsy is ultimate means for confirmation. So, ask doc - treating or radiologist timely.

PET Scan...: This PET scan is saying there is a lesion measuring 5x5 centimeters that is active physiologically-that is, it is using the isotope given during the scan. The lesion is located in the right lung, near the bottom. There are also some enlarged lymph nodes. This needs to be followed up closely because, although it may be benign, malignancy needs to be ruled out. A biopsy is likely the next step.

Probably nothing: If one has had colon cancer, it is important to know the stage at which the tumor was resected.  Where there positive lymph nodes in the mesentery and was adjuvant chemo needed to prevent possible recurrence. Are tumor markers elevated ie CEA, Ca19.9. Indeterminate uptake probable means nothing and mediastinal nodes would not be the site for colon to spread.

See a doctor: What you have written does not make a lot of sense, particularly from a pet scan.  See a doctor, not a nurse practitioner (who may be very good at minor problems).  This needs a cardiologist evaluation.  Please do this soon.  Best wishes for a rapid successful outcome.

It depends/excision.: It really depends on whether or not you have palpable/feelable lymph nodes on his physical exam.  If not, i don't think lymph node bioopsy is needed.  However, the melanoma itself should be removed with wide excision to determine its type and spread.  This is important because it determines what kind of therapy you will likely get.

Congenital: Variety of benign congenital brain vessel malformations, include venous angioma, small aneurysmal dilatations, arteriovenous malformations, even hemangiomas.  But any of the above can cause great mischief under a variety of circumstances, so you need to discuss with your doctor what the findings truly mean for your future.

my 2 yr old fell, hit her head. she quickly had a large bump that ran right along a blood vessel. it has gone down some with ice. what does this mean?

Falls and injuries: to the head often lead to a large bump because there is no soft tissue over the bone to absorb any blood from an injury.Children her age and younger often have prominent scalp blood vessels.If you are not seeing bleeding from that,I would not be concerned about that aspect.However, if she develops vomiting, sleepiness, different behavior than usual,or the bump enlarges a lot,see her doctor/ ER.

Usually nothing: Sub conjunctival hemorrhage is a common condition.  It may be due to blood pressure ore eye pressure.  But usually a cause is not found. Any valsalva maneuver may cause a capillary to break, even heavy lifting or constipation.  It is usually benign.  But have your eyes checked.
