HCV antibody: The hepatitis C virus antibody test is an enzyme immunoassay. The numerical results of EIA do not indicate the amount of antibody detected. Any result below the cut-off number for a positive result (0.9 is typical, as in your test) is totally negative. Your value of 0.2 does not show that a little bit of HCV antibody, but none at all -- a completely negative result.

Look at it this way, if you quit too soon as suggested by someone else who isn't managing your program, who's going to take responsibility for return of the virus? I suspect that your hepatologist would just as soon turn over your care to that person while saying "i told you so".

Most likely negative: results are negative results, and indeterminate sandwiched between 2 negatives likely count as negative too.  Experts recommend waiting beyond the 3 month period where immune latency should not be a factor in the diagnostic process.  I would make sure I get another Hepatitis C core antibody beyond the 3 month period.
