Yes: Skin cancer can arise from any part of the skin, no matter how normal it has looked for years before.  This is one of the things that makes skin cancer so challenging.  See your surgical oncologist or dermatologist for a complete skin examination to see if you need a biopsy or not.

bugbite-like growth on scalp for 4 weeks. at first skin color, but now looks red inflamed. symmetrical, clear borders, not bloody.looks like one patch of eczema. black hair, 28 yr male, no family history.
biopsy is pending. what type of skin cancer?

Skin biopsy: Wait for a biopsy result.  It may be treatable reactive condition, not a cancerous.

seborrheic dermatitis on scalp cause skin cancer bc they don't get chance to heal? i try not to but it's hard.

No that is not true: but instead of picking first try salicylic acid shampoo and see dermatologist for great topical prescriptions to remove scales

is itching on scalp in one area only a symptom of skin cancer? can skin cancer develop underneath the hair and not just hairline? also is damaged skin with rash more vulnerable to uv light?

Need to examine: Skin cancer can develop anywhere, but it is less likely in an area covered by hair. If you have any doubt, see your doctor.

im 18 yr old have a little red bump thing on my scalp, its hard, and not removeable, it doesnt hurt. im not bald, have hair. can it be skin cancer?

Bumps: It is rare but possible to have skin cancer in your teens.  The more common scalp bump would be a blocked hair follicle.   See your doctor for a good look.  Examining your own scalp is difficult.

i recently got sunburn on my scalp in an outdoor camp. there are no blisters or anything, part of my hairline is just red. i am extremely worried whether this will put me at risk for skin cancer. i do not suntan. will this one burn put me at risk?

: Data suggest sunburns before adulthood increase skin cancer more than those after, yet it is always there for some. Some ethnic/family groups are more prone than others. At least tis area is visable and you can monitor it easily. I wouldn't loose sleep over this one event, it will likely not lead to anything.
