Bacteruria: Moderate bacteruria can be diagnosed if urinalysis is nitrite positive on dipstick, or there are "moderate" numbers of bacteria seen on microscopy. Means most likely that you have a urinary infection &amp; require antibiotics.

Nothing: Depending on your symptoms- some would read this as negative. I would look at the Nitrites and the Leukocytes to help me determine appropriate management. If both arer negative, I wouldn't treat with antibiotics. Good luck!

May need repeat test: A small number of bacteria may be found in the urine of many healthy people. This is usually considered to be harmless. However, a certain level of bacteria can mean that the bladder, urethra, or kidneys are infected. You have elevated epithelial cell count and it is probably due to contamination of the specimen. Your clinical findings has to correlate with the lab findings to have a meaning.

No: Both men and women will have rare bacteria in a simple voided specimen .  In the absence of other bladder sx usually has no significance.  If the pt has other long standing GU problems then a more complete eval may be necessary .

: In absence of elevated white blood cells in the urine, almost certainly you do not have a UTI. And although I am unfamiliar with the particular microscopic exam you had or with what is considered normal for the number of bacteria, by standard diagnostic measure, UTI occurs with bacterial levels over 100,000 per ml.

: You do not have symptoms, then no need to worry. It is probably contaminant from the surface and it is possible that it is Occasional bacteria.
