Look for cause: Calcium levels in the blood drop only late in vitamin d deficiency -- a majority of your neighbors are likely deficient yet low calcium is rare. Most often, it's due to relatively low Albumin (which binds calcium) and the effective / ionized calcium remains normal. Hypocalcemia that's symptomatic is impressive clinically -- you'll feel it. Hope a cause can be found if it's truly low.
