Nothing serious: it only mean that at the time of your CT scan your stomach and tour bladder were empty i am guessing that you had the CT scan without any contrast so it really does not mean there is anything wrong with your stomach or your bladder

No: Actually neither MRI  or ct of the stomach are particularly sensitive, but it depends on what the problem is. If you are having digestive problems, you need a upper GI series. If you are having severe pain or bleeding you may need an endoscopy.  Consult with your physician to determine the proper course of action.

It depends: While MRI is very good for evaluating most abdominal organs, it is often not very good for evaluating the stomach and intestines.  Because the MRI takes some time to acquire, there is usually some motion in the gut that makes the pictures blurry and hard to read.   Depending on the question your doctor has, the benefits of a repeat ct scan may outweigh the risk of this small radiation dose.

Abdominal pain: Treatment of diverticulits involves antibiotics.  Don't wait it could compromise your intestine and you could land in the hospital for surgery. Get a diagnosis and prevent further pain. See a doctor today.

CT scan of what?: Several different conditions can cause those symptoms. A partial list includes gall stones, pancreatitis, hepatitis, spinal tumors, irritated spinal nerves. Was your spine scanned? Was your abdomen scanned? If so, was it ct with & without contrast? Too many choices to answer your question.

Perhaps: A CT may show an ulcer, but is not the optimal means of making the diagnosis.

Endoscopy or Barium Swallow is typically performed for ulcer.

having lower stomach pain and lower back pain.  cat scan shows spina bifida occults at s1 level and fat containing umbilical hernia 1.2 cm in diameter.  are these serious issues.  would this explain stom pain and back pain?

I doubt: The CT findings look like incidental findings. Spinal bifida oculta indicates defect in the bones around the spinal cord, if there is no other coexisting abnormality otherwise it would not cause any of the pains. The back pain may be like anybody else without spinal bifida oculta. Fat in umbilical hernia also is not the cause of your abdominal pain and neither defect is concerning to me.

cat scan was clear but an ultrasound showed a shadow on liver and stomach.  should i be worried?  blood work was fine.

No worries: The Cat scan is more precise than the ultrasound and this is why is used as a confirmatory test if the ultrasound shows something abnormal. So, if the Cat scan is normal, don't worry about it anymore. May I ask why did you have the ultrasound done in the first place?

MI?: What is your doctor looking for?  Ct scan are good for bony pathology.  Mri good for soft tissue differentiation.
