39 weeks pregnant bowel movement came out green pressure on lower back, left pelvic minor cramp. loss mucus.does that mean labor is in a couple days?

Maybe: Mother Nature works on her own schedule, but the loss of the mucous plug indicates that labor is near. The green bowel movement may be due to the intake of iron in your prenatal vitamins. Check with your OB MD.

have bouts of pebble poops on & off for 6mo between regular stool. no blood except 1x when wiping few months back (super small amount, bright red. had hemorrhoids). is that what drs mean when they say changes in bowel movements could be colon cancer?

: This is not the usual kind of changes in bowel habits that we are most concerned about, but anytime we see any blood, we are obligated to check it out to be sure that it is not from a large colon polyp or a colon cancer. If you see blood at all, see your gastroenterologist. Good luck.

Back pain: Such pain may be musculoskeletal, lung or kidney related. A thorough history, physical examination, xray and or ct scan may be needed for diagnosis. Discuss this with your physician who will advise you.

Muscle or bone: Chronic back discomfort on motion usually comes from musculoskeletal structures(spine or muscles of the back). Xrays of the spine would diagnose arthritis which may be the cause of the discomfort. Other possibilities include inadequate spine architecture, bad posture, poor mattress,autoimmune disorder. Consult a spine or orthopedic specialist for evaluation, advice and treatment.

Within first year.: Some recovery with any stroke is expected, but what is left after one year is generally permanent.  The amount of recovery varies, depending on the type, size, and location of the stroke.  Stroke rehabilitation is paramount in achieving the maximum recovery.

Musculoskeletal: Pain with movement in areas of the body which have high tendencies of injury could mean a musculoskeletal injury. 

It is good to know more history including onset of pain, the frequency (constant or intermittent), previous similar history, does the pain radiate to other locations, any previous trauma to the area, have you taken any otc meds, does it hurt if you push on the area of pain.

Not normal: Normally bowel movements should not cause pain. A change on bowel habits is a potential " red flag" for lesions in the bowel, including colon cancer. Suggest you see your doctor for evaluation and possible colonoscopy.

throwing baseball a month ago, but i still notice twinges of pain in my upper right back. not constant but hurts w/ certain movement. what could it be?

Shoulder: It could simply be a muscle strain or related to some bursitis in the shoulder. See a doctor to figure it out. Take NSAIDs in the meantime.

what does having a black bowl movement mean?

Accepted Answer

Internal bleeding: A black bowel movement, particularly if it is soft and very foul-smelling, often is it indication of internal bleeding and is an emergency. If you are having a stool that fits that description, go to the emergency room or call 911 immediately. Having said that, certain medications, such as Pepto-Bismol, can make the stool dark also.  Some foods can also make the stool darker. Good luck.
